<p>Opposite the fort is one of the city’s largest madrasas whose construction was ordered by Khorezmian Khan Muhammad Rahim. Tightrope acrobatics that first originated in Xiva are performed there right up to the present day.

<p>Tosh-Hovli was the main palace of Ollohquli Khan and was a complex with several courtyards of various sizes.  The Mechmon Chona was reserved for official receptions with numerous columns and majholicawalls.

<p>Despite its varied history, the mysterious city of Xiva has preserved the exoticism of ancient times and continues to be a traditional Islamic oasis city.
