This trip on the most beautiful section of the Rhine River between Basel and Cologne is intended to show what else there is to see besides nature and culture.
We start this journey with a side trip to Ungersheim in nearby Alsace. The "Parc Du Petit Prince" is based on the famous fairy-tale story by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry.
In Basel, the boat trip on the Rhine begins. In Breisach, our first stop, a luxury bus takes us to Rust, where nearby the Europa Park, a superlative among amusement parks awaits us. Next morning we reach the old German imperial city of Speyer with the Emperor's Cathedral, the largest preserved Romanesque church. From Mannheim we take a bus to Heidelberg on the river Neckar with its world famous castle. It represents the German Romanticism. The next stop is Rüdesheim on the Rhine. A picturesque town with a very special museum - Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet, the first German museum for mechanical musical instruments.
Next we ship through the world-famous Upper-Middle Rhine Valley, which is rightly protected as a World Heritage Site. Bacharach and Oberwesel are also worth mentioning. Then we pass the once dangerous and dreaded section, where the beautiful Loreley distracted the skippers with her singing, so that their boats smashed against the rock. Koblenz is the cultural centre of the Middle-Rhine region. At the so-called "German Corner", the strategic confluence of Rhine and Moselle, a monument was erected to Emperor Wilhelm the First and in the Basilika Saint Kastor the negotiations which led to the Treaty of Verdun in 843 were held. In Andernach we visit the geyser center with the highest cold water geyser in the world. Phantasialand near Brühl is one of the most visited theme parks in Germany, originally founded in 1967 as a fairytale park, it has become a park of superlatives.
A program of fascination and variety mixed with relaxation on a floating hotel.
