Besides the beauty of the Ticino landscape, you will be offered something special: the colours of autumn. In October, with the first frosty nights at over 1,500 metres, the needles of the larches begin to change colour, first into a pale yellow, and then slowly into a rich ochre. ..

The huge boulders here are mostly covered with thick moss, which makes this area particularly mysterious. Under some of the rocks people could use the hollows as stables, haystacks or storage cellars where they kept cheese, butter and wine fresh. During the summer months, some people also lived in these spluis (rock buildings).
