The Etosha National Park in Namibia is one of the largest wildlife reserves in the world and no other park in Africa contains so many wild animals.
The Etosha Salt Pan is located in the centre of the park, five thousand square kilometres of arid terrain and an almost endless plain of fine silvery white sand.
To date a hundred and ten varieties of mammals have been recorded in Etosha, a truly remarkable number that is also reflected in the vegetation of this region. Moreover, three hundred and forty species of bird also populate this unique habitat.
The most fascinating natural spectacles are to be seen around the park’s numerous waterholes where the drinking protocol is determined by the elephant. The natural beauty and variety of African wildlife, whether individually, in groups or in large herds, is a truly magnificent experience in Eotsha.
